<description>Those recalls are pretty scary to me; and I believe that many parents are overwhelmed by the variety that is out there. I did some research on baby-crib furniture and found help for parents shopping for baby furniture cribs. There are actual crib safety standards - if you verify that your new baby furniture crib adheres to these safety standards, you can be sure that there will be no harm caused by the crib - design itself. Mandatory industry safety standards as set by the Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC). In addition, there are voluntary standards set by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). Furniture cribs that meet or exceed these safety standards are certified by the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA). So watch for a JPMA certification if you purchase a new crib, to assure the maximum safety for your baby or toddler.
